  • There is no negativity; this is just cautiousness. I'm always weary of self promotion that's thrown in your face right of the bat upon registration.

  • Let's see how long it will take them before they realize it...

  • uh.. guys? Don't you realize that this is targetted spam or at the very least unwarranted solicitation? Aside from the big fat "BUY NOW" button, which kinda gives it away, the first sentence should have already set your alarm off: it's clearly a copy/paste from a promotional article. Despite this was posted in the Selling forum, don't you find it suspicious that a new members joins and his first two posts are promotional? Time to unholster your banhammer @Paul

  • The next upcoming massive update for Windows 10 coming out this summer, among various planned new very interesting additions, will include a native Linux bash. According to Forbes , the integration between the two OS won't be virtual, but based on a genuine Ubuntu image placed on top of Windows that will also allow downloading binaries. While some Linux purists might consider this a blasphemy of some sort, I wouldn't mind having Ubuntu bash at the ready in my Windows installation for quick use, …

Oh... I find that surprising, really. I thought this would have been already addressed or at least discussed in depth before. Weird. Probably most XF users don't mind a boxed in editor if they're used to it. To each one their own I guess. Thanks for checking this out for me @Paul

This thread isn't about XF's worst issues or why it should be still considered awesome despite the problem in examination. Who cares? While posting on some xf powered boards as end user, I discovered a limitation with the editor that I personally find very annoying, and asked those who have more experience with this script if there is a fix for it.

It really makes no sense to waste all that space and shrink the editor that much. ” As for me, it's pretty helpful, well that's only for me and maybe not for you. I'm "space-conscious" when it comes to the final post. I would literally edit the post over and over until the text and the image are in the proper alignment. I just realized that it actually doesn't reflect to the exact post at all... My bad xd It is indeed a …

Quote from Niish: “I think that's because of the Post Editor having the exact same width with its final post. ” And it still is very annoying to me. It really makes no sense to waste all that space and shrink the editor that much. Quote from Niish: “Wait, is that "Reply to Thread" really that far to the left? o-o ” I tested it in various XF powered boards, using different browsers with cache cleared and no addons. Also tested it in a fresh Windows 10 install with a default IE 11, and the editor …

  • Nice If you have never tried bruschetta you're in for treat. Slice the ciabatta bread to about half an inch or 3cm. Sprinkle with olive oil and broil a few minutes until it forms a nice golden crust. Then you can put on it whatever you like. Ricotta cheese and honey (minus the olive oil in this case). Cream cheese prosciutto and mushrooms. Mozzarella tomatoes and basil with balsamic vinegar. The options are limitless. This makes for a quick and easy meal that never fails to impress And yeah, bad…

Pardon my ignorance with all things concerning XenForo, but I was genuinely wondering about all the wasted real estate I see when creating or replying to a new thread/post. I don't have a lot of experience with XenForo, but I've seen this happening in a few boards running it, which makes me assume this is a default for this script. Why did they think that wasting all this space was a good idea? I think other scripts take better advantage of the available space. To be fair, you don't see this in …

  • Ha ha, nice And can they say bruschetta without sounding like they're shushing someone? 1. broo-SHEH-tuh > wrong 2. broo-SKET-tuh > correct

  • Quote from Paul: “Vulpea is Romanian for "the fox" and it is pronounced [vool-peh-ah], with stress on 'vool'. ” That is a good name for a forum -- you seem to have a knack for it, Paul. BTW, I appreciate you took the time to clarify its pronunciation. Most people that employ foreign words or terminology often don't bother with letting others know how to say them, which is the reason I always cringe at how some people say Italian words, even after they are corrected. Anyways, is there a particula…

By the way, I just wanted to add that you could also configure Windows Updates, so that you have more control and decide what updates you want Windows to download and install. You can either do that in Control Panel > Windows Updates > Change Settings or/and within the services (CTRL + R > services.msc). admin-hub.com/attachment/170/?…5a45d183501b8fd76cd21a641

At work, we use VmWare (vSphere Hypervisor on esxi-based framework) , which lets you build very powerful virtual machines/servers -- they are performing even with relatively small resources -- but might require some time before you get familiar with it. At home, I like using both VirtualBox, which is free and very easy to install and configure and Hyper-V (already available in both Windows 8.1 and 10), which is also easy to use. To taste the waters, you could give VirtualBox a try. Don't forget …

Not all of them, but most yes. Some manufacturers like Dell or HP still ship certain models with Windows 7 or 8.1, and include a DVD/USB flash-drive having Windows 10 one can use to upgrade or restore the system with the new OS. They do this more for the business side than the commercial one though. If your current PC is powerful enough and supports virtualization, you could use Virtual Box and do a Win10 test install in a virtual machine. I usually keep several virtual PCs with various systems …

Quote from meetdilip: “I guess I should spend more time on Windows 10. Just to get a feel of it. ” Yes, and there is no hurry, (Windows 7 is supported until April 2017), unless you want to keep the prerogative to upgrade to Win10 for free before the free grace period ends in June. You could upgrade to Windows 10 now, then just roll back to Windows 7 (there is the option to do just that unless you remove the "old" system with any disk cleaning application). Eventually, even after June, not only w…
